THE Kevin Mullins Crushes Outlaw Drag Radial Record At Lights Out V ProTorque Racing Torque Converters

When many racers started their tow to SGMP for Lights Out V, they had to have their doubts about setting any records or personal bests in the days ahead. Mother Nature had been on the war path along the east coast and thru-out the country. Snow and freezing temps were the norm in many states. Lights Out V would kick off the season for small tired racers from across the country, so racers were “chomping at the bit” to get the action going. While sporadic rain did put a halt to some of the action, the rest was nothing short of amazing.

In radial vs the world Team ProTorque racer Kevin Mullins brought his “A” game, when he fired the shot heard around the radial world a 4.11@193 on 315 drag radials to lead qualifying! Then in the first round he repeated the run again… another 4.11! To clinch the record. Not far behind was another Team ProTorque racer, DeWayne Mills at 4.17@190. In Outlaw Drag Radial still another Team ProTorque racer Brian McGee set a record at 4.35@167 and took the #1 qualifier position with Mark Carlyle (also Team ProTorque, starting to see a pattern here?) grabbing the #2 spot at 4.39@174. John Schroeder (yes, another ProTorque customer) was in the #1 qualifier spot in Outlaw 632 with a 4.53@160. Long time ProTorque customer Scotty G. also had a personal best of 4.33.

It looks like having a ProTorque converter is a must have if you want to perform at your best and the records prove it.
