Team H&H Racing WCHRA X275 Champions!

Based out of Southern California, Team H&H Racing took this year’s West Coast Hot Rod Association’s X275 championship with their stock suspension 25.5 chassis ’91 Mustang. Powering the Fox body is a Dart based 525ci big-block Chevy with a Brodix BB3 top end and a Vortech V28-123 supercharger that’s producing in excess of 2,000 horsepower; all through a Carb Shop modified 4150 carburetor.

The team is comprised of driver and builder Kelly Henry, Tony Politano, Dustin Granger, Frank comer, and owner Henry D. Team H&H would like to thank and acknowledge the people who have supported them throughout the season; Rocco Acerrio of A.R.E Performance & Machine, the Vrbancic brothers at The Carb Shop, Chris Alston Jr. from Component Drive Systems, Bob Endress from Vortech Engineering, tuner Eddie Rios, Joe Rivera from Pro Torque converters, Damon Rivetti, Paul Bartlett from Little People Customs, and Dave Murray from Murray’s Performance Garage.

During their first full season of competition, they’ve gone as quick as 4.91 at 154 mph in the eighth-mile with short-times in the 1.18 range at well over 3,400-pounds. When asked what it took to win the championship, Kelly Henry Stated “We made every effort to attend each event and did our best to go rounds.”

H&H Racing is already freshening up the bullet for the upcoming NMCA West finals in Bakersfield, California, including the Street Car Super Nationals in Las Vegas, Nevada. You can also expect to see the team in 2013, where they will continue to run the powerful Vortech V28-123 supercharger in an effort to defend their title.
